I love waking up to weekends. Even better, I love waking up to pancakes on weekends. During the week’s hustle and grind, we rarely get to enjoy a hot breakfast. I look forward to each Saturday morning’s breakfast romance with pancakes, playlists, and my love. There is nothing better than eating a yummy, hot breakfast, and then knowing that the rest of the day is all yours to do whatever you want. My love for making breakfast on weekends is the reason I put together the “Pancakes With Maple Syrup & Love” playlist.
Lately, I am really into making protein packed gourmet pancakes inspired by The Macro Chef. I use the word “inspired” consciously. When it comes to cooking, I only look at recipes to get an idea of some of the key ingredients. I rarely measure. I typically eyeball everything, use my own directions, add and omit ingredients according to what I have in my kitchen, and basically just wing it.

Anticipating the end result with my cooking style is exciting because it will never taste exactly like before, nor will it ever be replicated. I do cringe a little when someone asks me for a recipe, though, because I have no idea how to begin describing what I did. My husband really loved these pancakes, and you know what they say about the way to a man’s heart.
Jamie Lidell’s “Another Day” gets me ready to dive in the kitchen, whip up some breakfast, and work in a few kisses whenever my husband strolls by for more coffee. I hope you get to enjoy the happy breakfast vibes this playlist creates as much as I do.
