This summer, I am excited for the “Poolside Mimosas” playlist I put together. Since the age of eighteen, I have been following electronic dance music pretty closely, before it was even called “EDM.” I love how it has evolved over the years. I especially love the tropical house subgenre that abruptly emerged two years ago.

Thomas Jack and Kygo have been dubbed the pioneers of this captivating deep house sound mixed with bright sunny tones and occasional congo drums. Other prolific artists did not waste time adding a vast new collection to “tropical house.” The “Poolside Mimosas” playlist is a blend of fresh tropical house with a splash of classic vocal house and vocal trance. It’s really the perfect soundtrack for chilling out at the pool this summer.
